How Do I Begin?

Taking these first steps to seek counselling can be daunting. You may be completely new to counselling or have been to therapy before. You might be seeking to change therapist and are curious about different ways of working together. Whatever your circumstances, be assured that a good counsellor will respect your autonomy and abides by ‘do no harm’ ethos when working with you. It takes courage to take action towards working on your difficulties.

We can have a brief chat about how therapy works and how I may be able to help you. We can then schedule your first appointment, in which we will go through our working agreement and confidentiality of counselling, discuss your needs, complete a brief assessment and make a rough plan for our ongoing work together.
